Franklin Lakes teen talks baby names with Hilary Duff
Published: October 17, 2011
Hilary Duff made her way to Jersey Tuesday night and brought her mini baby bump with her. She was in the area promoting her new book ‘Devoted’ at a real celebrity booksigning hotspot called, Books and Greetings in Northvale NJ. I usually don’t bring my Jr. Magnet with me, but I decided to pull a few strings just to be a hero with my 13 yr old daughter Lauren. So thanks to a nice PR girl named Nicole, I surprised her with a private meet and greet with Hilary, before she headed out to sign her books for the huge crowd of about 300, mostly girls, ranging from 3 to 20 waiting patiently outside holding their prepaid book and numbered entry ticket.
We witnessed the crowd outside go wild as Hilary pulled up up her black SUV as we waited in the back for her to come in. It was like the Beatles showed up, including John. I asked Hilary if it was her 1st time in Jersey, she said ‘no, I love it here!”. Since she and her NHL star husband Mike Comrie are expecting, I then asked her if she knew if she was having a boy or girl and she replied with ‘why, do you have any name suggestions?’ My daughter rattled off about 5 or so girls names, Lauren, Lily, Amanda,Madelyn,Madison, Hilary said ‘I guess you guys really think I’m having a girl! she still wouldn’t give it up, but apparently we were wrong since she just announced today that she is expecting a boy.
Hilary was very sweet and all smiles, you could barely see the mini bump. So weird to see her all grown up since I have to admit I was forced to watch her as a kid on Lizzy Mcguire with my daughter years ago.
