Call For Debates

Dear Assemblymen Rumana and Russo:
My name is Jim Tighe, I am the Campaign Manager for your opponents – John Agostinelli of Little Falls and Mark Bombace of Ridgewood – for the two Assembly seats to represent the 40th District in the General Assembly.
Recently our campaign called upon both of you to debate 6 times between now and Election Day, holding debates in every county of the 40th District. We want to give voters an opportunity to hear where all of the candidates stand on the important issues facing their everyday lives. We hope you agree with this sentiment and we look forward to hearing back from your campaign about setting up appropriate dates, moderators, and venues.
You have both been in political office for a long time, and you both have a long record. We hope you will join John and Mark in these debates to explain your record, and furthermore, explain what your ideas are for moving the 40th District forward.
I think you would both agree, as public servants, elected officials have a duty to their constituents to defend their records, and I hope you both will agree to take part in the democratic process over the next 5 weeks.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jim Tighe
Campaign Manager
Agostinelli & Bombace for Assembly
