TEEN KULA HOSTS KICK-OFF EVENT
On February 28th at Starbucks in Midland Park, Teen Kula for Karma held its kick-off event to raise funds for children and teenagers who are in desperate need of assistance. The night featured local solo and group teen musicians who were generous enough to share their musical talents for the benefit of a good cause.
The accompanying video gives an overview of how Kula for Karma works and some of the lives they impact.
The café was filled with friends, parents, grandparents and customers who came to listen to the talented artists. Thanks to everyone who attended and donated, Teen Kula raised over $1,500. This money will be divided amongst charities selected by the core group. The dedication of the teens who organized this fabulous event showed how, when working together as one, teenagers have the power to make a difference.
Teen Kula’s next event will be a Kula-thon to be held on April 24th at the Municipal Field in Franklin Lakes from 9 AM until 12 PM. In addition to a 5K walk/run, there will be a free yoga class, live music, refreshments and vendors.
