Mayor’s Message - July 23, 2010
Dear Friends,

I’m listening to the sizzle of the rain on the hot, dry grass. There is no doubt we need the rain but don’t let it keep you from enjoying a wonderful weekend.

A few updates:

The Franklin Lakes Mayors Wellness Campaign is teaming up with IronMatt for a terrific 5K & Fun Run event on September 12th. Sponsors are needed now. For more information on this great, community-spirited event click here.

Last Friday I attended the Knights of Columbus Council 5846 Annual Shields Awards. These awards are given for outstanding service in Emergency Service. Our Franklin Lakes honorees were Officer Jeff Jost from the Police Department, Chet Kowalski from the Fire Department, Marc McKeon from the Ambulance Corps, Craig Goldman from the Office of Emergency Management and Mrs. Margaret Post on behalf of all of the women of the FLFD Ladies Auxiliary. It was a privilege to be there to honor these fine men and women and to have an opportunity to thank all of our emergency service personnel for what they chose to do each and every day for the residents of Franklin Lakes.
