The Indian Hills Girls Softball Team won the NJ State Championship game Saturday June 5th 1-0. The Braves took the title with 33 victories, finishing the season as League, County and State Champions.
When the Braves arrived in Oakland they had an escort waiting to take them home. The Oakland Police took the lead followed by Oakland, Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes Chief trucks. The procession continued with Fire Engines, Rescue Trucks, Ladder Trucks and First Aid Ambulances from all of the towns. The team consists of girls from all 3 towns.
The escort ended at Indian Hills High School with the team riding through the extended Ladders from Franklin Lakes and Wyckoff. Oakland’s Ladder showered the team with a curtain of water!
It was an amazing and well deserved tribute!!! Congratulations!!!
