Hot Day in Franklin Lakes
Published: November 20, 2008
Franklin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department had a full day Monday with a morning report of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment on Pulis Avenue. The volunteers had the injured party removed quickly and turned over to EMS. This was followed by three more reports of fire, two in trucks and one of smoldering leaves. Before the day was over, the volunteers would be responding to a home that was beginning to fill with smoke. The fire was determined to have started in the chimney from the wood burning stove and spread into the walls surrounding the area.
